Now that school is back in session, how about brushing up on your alphabet? Not your regular ABC’s, but you technology ABC’s. Don’t know your CSS from your RSS? SQL send you squealing? XML send you into exile? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then Technology Alphabet Soup is the workshop for you.

Join the Florida and Caribbean Chapter as Dr. Stephen Bajjaly ladles out the secrets of HTML, CSS, XML and more.

Stephen Bajjaly is an Associate Professor at the University of South Carolina School of Library and Information Science, where he teaches information technology, Web design, and management courses. He received his PhD in Information Science from the State University of New York at Albany and his MBA from San Diego State University. He is a past president of the South Carolina chapter of SLA.

Objective: Gain a basic understanding of one of the most popular markup languages in use today, HTML, and how cascading style sheets, CSS, facilitate the creation and maintenance of webpages. Learn why XML use is on the rise and how to use RSS in your organization.
