Chapter Workshop on Collaboration a Success!

The Chapter sponsored a workshop on October 10 that was attended by 32 professionals from Jacksonville, Tampa, Gainesville, and Tallahassee. The full-day workshop “1+1=More Than 3: Collaboration, Technology, and Futurism” was held at the College of Information, Florida State University and featured two sessions. Andrew Sanderbeck (People Connect Institute, Tampa Florida) presentation on “8 Tips for Effective Internet Collaboration” was an interactive presentation on many of the successful forms of collaboration in the here and now. J. Dale Prince, (Technology Coordinator, National Network of Libraries of Medicine) presentation on “Geeks Bearing Gifts: Unwrapping New Technology Trends” covered wikis, collaborative word processing, meeting scheduling, and numerous other technologies that aid in corralling the cats.
