Applications accepted for Connecting to Collections statewide training

There is a limited amount of spots open for mentees and mentors for Connecting to Collections, a free training program on collection management and development policies. Participants will attend three workshops in 2013 (April 16, July 30, Oct 30), held simultaneously in four different regions of Florida.

Program highlights

  • Join a network of colleagues responsible for collections in museums, archives, library special collections, historical and archeological holdings
  • Participate in a structured training program that results in writing a new management and development policy for your organization’s collections, or improving your existing collections policy
  • Share expertise by participating as a Mentor or learn from experienced colleagues as a Mentee

Who should participate?
Staff with responsibilities for collections at nonprofit and government organizations in Florida are invited to participate in training and development of collections management and development policies.

Organizations such as museums, archives, libraries and other special collections, archeological, historic house and historical societies are welcome.

Applications are accepted until all spots are filled.
